What is MindMeister?:
MindMeister is an interactive online application that allows students to collaborate with their peers and create mind maps based on different concepts that they are learning in the classroom. This also allows them to visualize information, make connections as well as build on their creativity and problem-solving skills. As my classmates mentioned, this tool is an engaging form of learning that promotes creative thinking, improves productivity, enhances memorization, retention and writing skills, and is flexible for all ages!
Why is MindMeister Beneficial?:
There are many benefits to incorporating MindMeister into the classroom. To start off, creating mind maps are fun and educational at the same time! It is an excellent way for students to break down and comprehend complex topics, while boosting their memory and increasing their creativity. It also allows students to visualize, understand and recall the main idea on the topic being discussed. During this time, the students are able to highlight hierarchies, make connections, and identify relationships between various ideas. While the students are creating their mind maps, educators are able to monitor their participation through the history view to ensure that they are on track and provide support when required.

After exploring more with MindMeister and creating a mind map as a class, I have come to the conclusion that this is an excellent tool for both primary and junior grades. Not only is it easy to use, but it is also very interactive and promotes imagination. I will definitely incorporate this technology tool in my future classroom and I am very excited to provide students with this new learning opportunity!
